Karma Yoga

Work is Worship

Lord Krsna says in Gita that the jiva is endowed with karma according to intrinsic nature and ability to perform the particular work. We have to choose the work accordingly and dedicate that action to God. The activity should be conducive to the self and the society on the whole. This is called as satkarma or righteous action. While performing one should not be worried about the outcome of the karma. The Lord says that self has right to do the karma and the fruits of action is governed by the Lord. It is wrong to expect the fruits immediately because, the fruits may arrive at any time. The Lord dispenses the fruits at the right time. Accepting this doctrine denotes the Total Surrender to the Lord. If the people of the world perform their day to day karma as a duty (like a mother feeds the child with no expectation), then the earth would be a heaven to live in. Am I right?
